The Canara World Foundation hosted a memorable Valentine’s Party on 23rd January 2025 at the Cultural Centre in Oakville, bringing together over 80 guests for an evening of music, laughter, and togetherness. The hall was beautifully decorated with Valentine’s-themed décor, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that set the tone for a night of celebration.
The evening began at 5 p.m. with a welcome note by CWF committee member Melita Barbosa, marking the official start of the event. As the bar opened, guests enjoyed a delicious spread of appetizers generously brought by attendees. The entertainment was in full swing with lively DJ music and engaging hosting by Anthony Dourado and Gavin Amos of King & I, keeping the energy high throughout the night.
The celebration continued with games, music, and dancing, creating an environment filled with laughter, networking, and pure joy. Exciting prizes were given out for games, adding to the fun. The highlight of the evening was the 50/50 raffle draw, which brought extra excitement as two lucky winners took home cash prizes. In addition, four other guests won gift items, making the night even more special for those who participated.
Committee member Paul Mathias delivered the vote of thanks, expressing deep appreciation to Fr. Ranjan D’Sa for his generosity in allowing CWF to host the event at the hall. Special gratitude was extended to King & I for their time and dedication, as well as to the sponsors who generously contributed gifts and drinks: Albert Soosay, Arun & Jennifer Mendes, Rony & Dorothy Rego, Max & Nancy Mendes, Raymond & Marie Monteiro, and all the volunteers and guests who contributed their culinary delights to make the evening even more enjoyable.
An event so meticulously planned and executed would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the CWF committee members:

• Boniface Viegas
• Flavian & Miriam Pinto
• Joyson D’Souza
• Mavy & Ingrid Pereira
